“What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness?” ― Jean-Jacques Rousseau

Showing loving kindness everyday is living a life through our innate wisdom.

There is no school in the world that can teach us wisdom. Wisdom comes from absorption of knowledge.

We gain knowledge from:

    • Books,
    • Hearing stories,
    • Incidents in the world and
    • From our own experiences.

When we reflect on the knowledge gained, then we allow the assimilation of knowledge within us. This turns into wisdom.

“We don’t receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us.”
— Marcel Proust

The strength of wisdom is that it only multiplies when shared. It is an everlasting wealth in a human being that ensures one’s success and goodwill in the world. A person exhibiting kindness reflects the greatest wisdom.

“What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness?”
— Jean-Jacques Rousseau

Sometimes One Has To Be Cruel Just To Be Kind

A mother knows. The early years of a child’s life are absolutely crucial for their well being.

How a child is raised in the early years, affects the child’s future. Knowing this a conscious mother will always guide the child. She will discipline the young one to develop well.

The mother takes up upon herself to correct the child when the child stirs in the wrong direction. Even if the child cries for the wrong thing, the mother ought to do the right thing. She ignores the child’s cries and appears strict with the child.

A child may not understand this stern behaviour and may think that the parent is not loving.

But this strict nature only comes from the kindness in the mother’s heart. She wants the best for the child. Doing so she gives the little one a safe, healthy and prosperous foundation.

“Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.”
— Barbara De Angelis

Show Loving Kindness To Yourself

Before showing the world kindness, be kind to yourself. Start with yourself.

Today most adults unconsciously are very hard on themselves. They criticise themselves. They sabotage their own efforts and become their own obstacles. They show no kindness to themselves. You can change this.

    • Be Kind To Yourself.
    • Pay attention to yourself.
    • Be patient with yourself.
    • Do the right thing for yourself first.

Bringing Kindness Everyday To Yourself

Be kind to yourself early in the morning before attending to anything.

Don’t check your phones or your messages. First, give yourself some care and attention.

Here are ways that you can be bringing kindness everyday to yourself in your daily life.

You could do any or all the personal growth practices.

    • Reading a book that helps you improve.
    • Exercising
    • Eating a good nourishing meal.

These are beautiful ways to show kindness to your own self.

Giving yourself first can increase your ability to give more to the world.

“Be kind to yourself this evening. Buy something for yourself. Treat yourself to a meal. Look in the mirror and give yourself a smile.”
— Yoko Ono
